In my Gateway to Honors Class, I had my first experience of actually feeling old. I’m only 21, yet I was the oldest student in the room every week. That was merely an observation that I will remember forever since it was my first experience with that, but the real meat of the course had to do with doing activities that helped us identify and hone in on our individual strengths, passions, and interests. From this class, I will take with me helpful tools that I can use at any time to fine tune my current dreams and goals, or go fishing for completely new ones in the most sensible pond. Resources such as the personality test we took the first week, TED Talks throughout the course, and the start to my learning portfolio will really help me realize and develop the best version of me possible, one passion at a time.
